Aten KN1000A KVM over IP Switch

The ATEN KN1000A Single Port KVM over IP Switch provides remote access and control of servers and conventional KVM switches that do not have built-in KVM-over-IP functionality. It enables IT administrators to monitor and control computers remotely, including BIOS-level troubleshooting, through standard web browsers and Windows or Java-based applications. The KN1000A also supports out-of-band access via an external modem if the network becomes unavailable. Its built-in power switch allows remote server power management, including turning systems on or off and rebooting them, while compatibility with ATEN PDU units enables centralized power management of additional devices. It also provides serial console management over the Internet for devices such as network switches.

The KN1000A includes a Laptop USB Console (LUC) port for quick local KVM access, an intuitive OSD, Virtual Media for remote file transfers, diagnostics, software patches, and application installations, and supports video resolutions up to 1920 × 1200. Remote access is provided through Windows GUI and Java clients, offering flexible compatibility across operating systems. The device is also compatible with ATEN's KVM over IP Console Station (KA82 series) for centralized management of multiple KN devices, as well as the ATEN PadClient application for secure remote access from an iPad.
