The SMS-88-18G is a high-performance 8x8 HDMI 18Gbps seamless switching matrix. This unit has a powerful independent wide range scaler for each output, allowing for up or downscaling most resolutions and refresh rates up to 4K 60Hz. Video Wall Processing to make a video wall utilizing all 8x outputs or used as a single image, along with audio embedding/de-embedding.

- Seamless 8x8 HDMI Matrix – Seamlessly switch between 8x HDMI 2.0 inputs, to 8x HDMI 2.0 outputs, capable of 4K60 4:4:4 60Hz 18G with programmable, and pre-saved modes.
- Video Wall Processor – Video Wall processing settings can be used to create multiple Video Walls using some or all of the 8 HDMI outputs.
- Audio Control – Audio can be embedded via Analogue L/R Audio Inputs. Audio can be de-embedded via Toslink, Analogue L/R RCA jacks, or Balanced Analogue L/R audio.
- Wide Range Scaling – Full Up/Down 4K 18G Scaling with complete control over both resolution and refresh rate, ensuring an optimal image based on the display's capabilities.
- Control Options– Control can be carried out via Front panel buttons, PC App, RS232, TCP/IP or LAN controlled Web GUI.
- Video Tuning – Fine Tuning of the picture is afforded via the ‘PQ’ function which is accessible through the Web GUI.
- EDID Management – This unit has several EDID options and also the ability to utilise any of the onboard pre-set EDIDs settings, which can be fed to any input selectively.
- HDCP Control – Support and management of HDCP ensures compatibility. Convert from HDCP 2.2 down to HDCP 1.4 or simply put the unit into Cascade Mode.
- IR Matrix - Bi-directional control of connected sources and displays may be carried out by utilising the built-in Infra-Red Matrix system.
