SMFS81-18G 4K 18G Multi-Format 8x1+1 Seamless Scaler Presentation Switcher

SY-SMFS81-18G is an all in one 8 input Multi-Format Seamless Presentation Switcher scaler and a 2x20W Audio Amplifier with mic input/control. All inputs take advantage of the powerful onboard 4K 18G scaler engine, not only that, its dynamic audio embedding options meet various audio needs. This unit also has several signal management and test aids including a Test Pattern generator. All this provides the system integrator with a complete solution with versatile tools required to deliver high-quality presentations, all in a 1U rack space.

Multi-format Inputs
Accepts all resolutions and refresh rates in from the 6x HDMI 2.0, 1x DisplayPort 1.2 and 1x VGA (or component/composite) giving the flexibility to allow a range of different source formats to be presented without the need for adaptors.

4K scaled outputs
Mirrored HDMI and HDBaseT outputs with extensive 4K Scaling, performed by up/downscaling the ‘Refresh Rate’ and ‘Resolution’ up to 4K60Hz 4:4:4 18G (While outputting 4K60/50Hz 4:4:4 to the Local HDMI, auto Colour Space Down Scaling is provided to the HDBaseT output making it 4K60/50Hz 4:2:0 this ensures a signal is present on both outputs simultaneously whilst provide the max resolution possible).  The HDMI output can be utilised to feed a local display with the HDBaseT output transmitting to a remote projector/display.

Seamless Switching 
Switching between all inputs is performed without introducing any blank frames. This is done to ensure the quality of the image is not impacted by any frame losses and glitches which gives you a comfortable instantaneous visual switch.

HDBaseT
Transmit up to 4K@60 4:2:0 (or 4K30 4:4:4) to 40m and 70m @1080p along with IR and RS232. This can be connected directly to  Projector HDBaseT inputs or connect to an HDBaseT receiver like our HDBT-70-SLIM-EDGE-R (available separately).

Test Pattern Generator 
It also has a built-in colour bar Test Pattern Generator, which outputs at the currently selected output resolution, ideal for testing the signal path both at the time of installation and during your pre-presentation checks saving you hours of painful troubleshooting and allowing you to identify issues before they become problems.

Video Controls 
Control of Video Presentation features includes ‘Video Mute’ and ‘Video Freeze’.  Ideal for adding authority to the delivery of any presentation.

Amplifier
Built-in 2x 20W Audio Amplifier offering Stereo Speaker Outputs. This can utilise any of the selected audio sources whether it originates from the video sources or the analogue audio inputs.

Audio Embedding 
All Inputs can choose any of the eight external analogue audio inputs, and all digital video inputs can also be set to use their own existing audio. This gives the presenter the freedom to utilise any audio stream passing through the switcher, or when no video is present you can still listen to an audio source.

Audio De-embedding
Offers a de-embedded balanced line-level stereo audio output via phoenix connectors. Giving the flexibility to feed into a larger audio system.

Line Level Audio / Microphone Input
Separate balanced line level or microphone level input with switchable phantom power for use with condenser microphones via phoenix connector.
